Who we are
TechPilot.ai (techpilot.ai) publishes AI tool reviews and practical guides. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean TechPilot.ai. We are responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us about privacy at support@techpilot.ai.
What we collect
We collect as little as possible:
- Messages you send us. Your name, email address, the topic you pick, and your message when you use our contact form or email us.
- Technical data. Like any website, the servers that deliver our pages receive your IP address, browser type, and the page you requested. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and fix errors.
We don't ask for, and don't want, sensitive information such as health or financial details. Please don't include it in messages.
Contact form and email
Our contact form is processed by Formspree, which receives what you type and forwards it to our inbox. We use your details only to read and answer your message, and to follow up on it, for example if you report an error or propose a partnership. We never add you to a mailing list from a contact message.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us, or taking steps you ask for before entering an agreement with us.
Cookies and tracking
TechPilot.ai itself doesn't set cookies, and we don't run analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking on our pages. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Third-party content embedded in some pages, such as videos, may set its own cookies. See Third-party services below.
Third-party services
Some parts of the site are delivered by other companies. When your browser loads them, those companies receive your IP address and browser details under their own privacy policies:
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on every page (Google privacy policy).
- YouTube and Vimeo play videos embedded in some articles, and may set cookies when a video loads or plays (YouTube, Vimeo).
- Image hosts. A few articles show images hosted on other websites, such as a tool vendor's own site.
- Formspree handles the contact form, as described above.
Affiliate links
Some links to tools are affiliate links. When you click one, you leave TechPilot.ai and the vendor's site may set cookies to record that you came from us, so we can earn a commission if you buy. We don't receive your name, email, or payment details from vendors. Our outbound links may include tags that identify TechPilot.ai as the source of the visit. Read more in our editorial policy.
How long we keep data
- Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, then deleted.
- Technical server logs are kept by our hosting providers for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- object to or restrict how we use it; and
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email support@techpilot.ai. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on it.
Children
TechPilot.ai is written for adults and isn't directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our practices change, and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
